"Darcy Miranda"
Darcy Miranda This costume was originally made to be a Hallowe'en costume, but it eventually found it's way to Black Tie 2 Bondage II. Look for a photo of Lee Bushey sporting it while chowing down on a banana in a review of that event in the Ottawa Citizen.

I found some oversized silver shoes at the Salvation Army Thrift Store and coated them with layers and layers of acrylic medium, red paint and glitter, glitter glitter. I purchased several packages of plastic fruit from a dollar store and hand sewed it all together with fishing line to make the headdress and fruit ta-ta's for on the front of the red dress which I borrowed from Donna Brown. That's her scarf there, around my waist, too! I found some cheap clip-on earings at the dollar store, too, and glittered them up. And the swim cap from a sports shop was perfect to tuck my hair into, and give the headdress something to grip. I already had the boa. It was brutal walking in this outfit 'cause I don't do heels, ok? And I had to be careful to make sure the headdress didn't tip off. I wore it to work for Hallowe'en one year and festooned the headdress with candies and walked around the office distributing them. I worked in a fairly conservative environment and some of the other staff didn't quite know what to make of me...

Laura Margita wore the headdress for her role as "Ebola May" in my "FUNtastic Voyage" video from 1998. Check out the video clip of her in it on this site!
